What is a Food Forest?

A food forest is when edible plants are organized to mimic the ecosystems and patterns in nature. At the FFAB, we highlight the relationships between humans, plants, animals, and the environment, and how we can all work together and thrive while providing an abundant harvest.

Layers of a Food Forest

Forests are structured vertically in layers, defined by both height and sunlight exposure, but life extends in all directions - up, down, and out.
